My practice has developed through sustained engagement with community-based contexts, including exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events working alongside refugee and asylum seeker groups, as well as queer and ballroom communities.
I work within community contexts including refugee groups and Scottish Refugee Week.
As part of group exhibitions such as Interwoven Tales, my work has been presented alongside artworks by refugees and asylum seekers, situating my practice within a wider collective framework rather than as a singular narrative. I have also contributed to community-focused programmes during Scottish Refugee Week, where creative practice functions as a shared space for presence, exchange, and care.
These experiences inform my understanding of art as a relational and embodied practice, shaped through proximity, listening, and working alongside others rather than speaking on their behalf. The communities I work within form an integral context for my practice, influencing both its ethics and its methodologies.
